Our Story
The Motherstory Journey
A tale of love, late-night feeds, and a dream stitched together by two parents who refused to settle.

The Spark
A Trip That Changed Everything
In 2023, I travelled to Ireland with my 8-month-old daughter. What should have been a beautiful family adventure quickly turned into a daily struggle. Every feeding session felt like an obstacle course — awkward covers that slipped, curious stares, and nowhere that felt truly comfortable.
I remember sitting in a Dublin café, wrestling with a muslin cloth that refused to stay put, thinking: “Why is this so hard? Why doesn’t something better exist?”
That frustration planted a seed. What if nursing in public could feel effortless — even beautiful?
The First Stitch
From Frustration to Fabric
When I got home, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. My husband Manvendra has years of experience in the textile and home furnishing industry — a deep understanding of fabrics, weaves, and craftsmanship. I turned to him and said,“We need to make something better.”
Together, we sketched our first nursing cover on the kitchen table. We sourced the softest breathable cotton, tested dozens of designs, and stitched prototype after prototype until it felt just right.
The first time I used it, I felt a wave of confidence I’d never experienced before. No fussing, no adjusting — just me and my baby, in our own little world.

The Dream
Choosing Purpose Over Paychecks
We both had stable careers. Comfortable salaries. The sensible path was clear. But every time I nursed my daughter under that first cover we’d made, I thought about all the other mothers who deserved the same feeling.
So we took a deep breath — and leapt. Manvendra left his job. I left mine. We put everything into building Motherstory: a brand made by parents, for parents, with the kind of care you can feel in every stitch.

“Every product we make carries the same intention: to give mothers the freedom, comfort, and confidence they deserve — because we know exactly how it feels when those things are missing.”
